1. Booking & Payment
1.1 A booking is only confirmed once the required payment or deposit has been received.
1.2 Handler spaces require a non-refundable deposit to secure the place.
1.3 The remaining balance must be paid by the specified deadline.
1.4 Spectator places must be paid in full at the time of booking.
1.5 Failure to complete payment by the deadline may result in the space being released without refund.
1.6 Payment plans may be offered at the organiser’s discretion and must be adhered to.
2. Cancellation & Transfers
2.1 Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances.
2.2 If a participant cancels:
More than 30 days before the event: partial refund may be offered at organiser discretion
Less than 30 days before the event: no refund unless the place is filled
2.3 Spaces may only be transferred with prior written approval from the organiser.
2.4 If the organiser cancels the event, a full refund will be issued.
2.5 The organiser is not liable for additional costs (travel, accommodation, etc.).
3. Force Majeure
3.1 The organiser shall not be held liable for cancellation, delay, or changes caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:
Extreme weather
Illness or injury of trainers
Venue closure
Government restrictions
3.2 In such cases, reasonable efforts will be made to reschedule or offer credit, but refunds are not guaranteed.
4. Participant Eligibility & Dog Suitability
4.1 Dogs must be:
Physically fit and healthy
Vaccinated (or titre tested where applicable)
Safe to handle in a group training environment
4.2 Dogs must not pose a risk to people or other dogs.
4.3 The organiser reserves the right to refuse participation or remove any dog deemed unsafe, without refund.
4.4 Puppies must be of a suitable age and development level for participation.
5. Dog Welfare & Handling
5.1 Handlers are fully responsible for their dog’s welfare at all times.
5.2 Dogs must not be left unattended at any time.
5.3 Appropriate equipment must be used (no equipment causing harm or distress).
5.4 Any concerns about a dog’s welfare may result in intervention or removal from activities.
6. Spectators
6.1 Spectator tickets do not permit dogs under any circumstances.
6.2 Spectators must follow all instructions from event staff and remain in designated areas.
7. Health & Safety
7.1 This event takes place at a historic venue with inherent risks, including:
Uneven flooring
Narrow passages
Steep staircases
7.2 All attendees accept these risks and agree to take full responsibility for their safety.
7.3 Suitable footwear and clothing must be worn.
7.4 Children (if permitted) must be supervised at all times.
8. Liability Waiver
8.1 By attending, you acknowledge and agree that:
Participation is entirely at your own risk
You are responsible for your dog’s behaviour and actions
Dogs are unpredictable by nature
8.2 The organiser shall not be liable for:
Injury or death of any person or dog
Loss, theft, or damage to property
Incidents caused by third parties or other participants
8.3 You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Positively Canine, its trainers, staff, and the venue against any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from your participation.
9. Insurance
9.1 Handlers are strongly advised to hold valid public liability insurance covering their dog.
9.2 Proof of insurance may be requested.
9.3 The organiser’s insurance does not cover participant dogs or personal belongings.
10. Event Conduct
10.1 All participants must behave respectfully toward:
Trainers
Staff
Other attendees
10.2 The organiser reserves the right to remove any individual displaying:
Aggressive behaviour
Disruptive conduct
Unsafe handling practices
10.3 Removal will be without refund.
11. Event Content & Changes
11.1 The organiser reserves the right to:
Change schedules
Substitute trainers
Modify activities
11.2 The event may include a combination of practical and theory-based sessions.
11.3 Not all elements (e.g. meals, accommodation) are included unless stated.
12. Photography & Media Consent
12.1 Photos and videos may be taken during the event.
12.2 By attending, you grant permission for your image (and your dog’s) to be used for:
Marketing
Social media
Promotional materials
12.3 If you do not consent, you must notify the organiser in writing before the event.
13. Data Protection
13.1 Personal information will be used solely for:
Booking administration
Event communication
13.2 Your data will not be shared with third parties without consent unless required by law.
14. Venue Rules
14.1 All attendees must comply with rules set by Chillingham Castle.
14.2 Any damage caused to the venue by a participant or their dog must be paid for in full by the participant.
15. Agreement
By booking and/or attending this event, you confirm that you:
