Jo set up Positively Canine in 2011 and along with Lady, her lurcher, they run the business. Jo grew up with Golden Retrievers and Great Danes, but has a love for sight hounds and has built up a lot of experience and knowledge about them. Jo has been learning about dogs for around 13 years. She is an approved instructor with Jane Arden at Waggawuffins Canine College where she became qualified to teach people and train dogs, she is an instructor for Veterans with Dogs, and is currently working towards becoming an approved instructor with the International Dog Parkour Association, as well as being a member of The Pet Professional Guild and the Pet Professional Network.
Jo specialises in helping people to build a connection with their dog, helping puppies during their early stages, teaching Parkour and getting amazing recalls!
Positively Canine believes that owning a dog is a responsibility that should be fun and rewarding for both owner and dog.
I am Jo and I started Positively Canine to help owners achieve this through positive training methods and education on your dogs needs.
I am more than happy to give help and advice on training and some behaviours and can also do this on a one to one basis if needed. Please contact me for further details or to discuss your needs.
Throughout the last 19 years I have worked with animals and gained a lot of skills and knowledge. I have completed a number of courses and seminars and I am an approved dog training instructor with Jane Arden at Waggawuffins Canine College.
I am currently working towards becoming an approved Parkour Instructor with the International Dog Parkour
Association https://www.dogparkour.org/ as well as being one of the trainers for Veterans with Dogs https://veteranswithdogs.net/
